First swimming trip of the year

WE decided that today being the hottest day of the year so far that we would go swimming. Gunnison swimming pool is in doors so we do not have to slather the kids in sun screen. Yes as you can see in the pictures below somehow I and most importantly the 8 kids survived. As soon as I can I will post more pictures of the jumpers. They had some pretty cool tricks

This is how our Easter weekend started. Mrs. Gina our librarian read stories to the kids and had a easter egg hunt around the library.

Here are a few picture of McKenzie and Aunt Becah's Trip down o Tuachan and St. George. They went to Tarzan and Cats which she loved to death. They also went shopping and Grandma Jackie bought Kenz a new outfit which is so stinking cute.

After 12 long weeks this is how kyle's arm eventually healed. Lets hope 3 weeks in a half cast will heal it completely.

He wanted a black cast with a green around it. It is so cool. Out of the cast you could see that it still looked like it was bowed. maybe that will change. Straightening his elbow is taking some work and he will still walk around with it bent. His wrist will really need the work. But all in all the doctor said it looks good for being one of the hardest spots to heal.

Finally a update

So the last few months have been a interesting adventure. Most of you know Kyle broke his arm on March 28th trying to do a hanging upside down trick that he learned to do without the mat. So after 6 weeks it didn't heal right and we had to go in and rebreak his arm. The kid is crazy and has not had more pain killer than a tylenol mostly for headache. The blue cast comes off June 24th and then if it healed correctly then he'll have a half cast for maybe 2 weeks we'll see what she decides to do.

Kelton had his 7th birthday in May he was so cute the whole day. The day before he had a baseball game that Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Jo came to watch after which they took all of us and grandpa to dinner at denny's.

The week before we went to see Iron Man 2 so of course that was his cake choice and then we rather have cupcakes over cake so yummy.

Kelton was the last kid up to bat and so of course he got to have a home run he couldn't believe it. He did really good and with more practice next year will be better.

Kenzie is so glad school is out and she has pretty much played all day when she is able to. Aunt Heather took her for a week and she did not want to come home because then she would have to do her jobs.

Other than that summer is going bye and I really can't wait for school to start. I will have all 3 in school its wonderful and going to be very quiet. So i'll keep you all updated on kyle and hope he heals well.

Valentines Day Boxes

Well after very much thought and a lot of planning on how to do it here is what we came up with.

Kelton wanted a house of all things for his box I can not believe how cute it turned out i even took the time to cut the paper on the roof to make it look like it has shingles. Thanks to my cricut for the awesome windows and door this house has 19 windows .

A huge thank you to Aunt Jodie for her cupcakes on her blog to give McKenzie the idea for her cupcake box. We took rainbow colored yarn and stitched it in to make it look like it has sprinkles. and the top of it opens for kids to put the cards in.

Other than that Kyle has been a hand full and then some. He always has to be into something or making a mess. Daddy was joking about giving him a hair cut one night and since we didn't do it he took it upon himself and grabbed the buzzers off the counter and buzzed his hair off. Oh since this is kyle he couldn't do it in the bathroom or kitchen no that would be nice and not make a mess; he went down in my room and since the plug is by my bed he sat on the bed and did it ya did not find it until it was time to go to sleep. Ya ended up sleeping upstairs.

Wonderful Christmas

Wow what a year we had so much fun. Kids got spoiled like always. Their favorite is the trampoline that Grandma Penny and Grandpa Gene got them even though they don't get to play with it until the summer it'll get used alot (hopefully my accident prone daughter won't be hurt on it). The boys both got scooters and race cars and kenzie got a bike which they would be playing with all the time if it wasn't for all the darn snow. Kenzies favorite so far is her mp3 player that is in her ears constantly turned all the way up so she doesn't hear half the things we tell her. Jodie gave me and brandon and a very cute picture of our family. ( I love it thx jo.) My parents gave us a Cuisinart panini press/ grill; so far it has done very well with hamburgers maybe one of these days i'll try to make a panini :).

So other than that i hope all your holidays are wonderful and that everyone will be healthy and happy in the new year.

what a summer

Boy has this summer flown by maybe its cause i have things 2 do this year.
June flew by so fast that i can't really remember what we even did.

July came and is already gone. We went over to delta for the 4th and we had tons of fun with water balloons and playing with cousins. The next weekend we went up to my parents house for my cousin Emilee's farewell i can't believe she is already 21 and on a mission she is suppose to stay little. ha ha. The next day Kelton for some reason took my fabric cutter apart tackled his brother and cut his finger wide open ya so quick trip to the er and 5 stitches later kyle is all better. Then a few days later Kenzie was climbing a tree and jumped down landing on a root twisting her ankle so again over to the er we went. Luckily it was only a sprain and not a break so she had a brace on for a week before attempting to walk on it. Then the 24th rolled around so off to the rodeo we went the whole family was there except for brandon and of course robert ( but he has a good excuse) The next day we watched the very way too long Spanish Fork parade and the kids liked it. I'll post pictures of everything later. On the 25th we had my family reunion it is so crazy when 200 cousins all come together and go swimming and eat. They made a family chart that went back to my great grandpa ogden it was 60 feet long it was so crazy.

Then it happened on the 27th i started my last year in my 20's lol ya crazy. Grandpa took me the kids and kenzies friend out for lunch at wingers it was of course so yummy. Later that day i was invited to go to a concert thing at our friends church. Can i just say how glad i belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Don't get me wrong the people are really nice but some of the things they do you can't feel any type of spirt.

So this weekend we are going to the Memmott family reunion. We won't get there until thursday night or friday morning because brandon won't get back til then.

So until then have fun!!!!

So this weekend we went to Delta's lovely celebration and had so much fun. We went over on friday and we tried to sleep outside but it rained so 1 in the morning we all ran inside. Okay for you who don't know I have been making blankets so to keep, some to give to family, the rest are to hopefully sell. The brown and green swirl is for my moms couch yes it was quite the project to get jsut right but once figured out it went along just right. The next is yellow and blue and is the one I wouldn't mind selling or give away its a queen size and will have the blue background. Let me know. The red and black I spent to much time on and am keeping for myself. So I will keep making more and posting them. if you like any let me know.

Other news Kelton graduated kindergarten on his birthday and to expect him to be happy about it ya right; he was a grouch he started off the day by punching daddy in the stomach then kept it up all day. He ran off the stage half way through graduation to the back of the room where we were at and would not go back up. That was how it was the rest of the day. I did have pictures but boys will be boys and will erase them before mommy can get them on the computer.

Kenzie got out of school a week later so its good luck keeping track of where she is at. Good thing she has friends within 2 blocks of the house or else I would have to go all over town looking for her.

Kyle is quite the turkey, we live a block away from the park and if he is missing thats where he is. Little thing can get down there before I can notice its to quite in the house. Hopefully he gets into a preschool this year he really needs it and it'll be nice to have no kids home for a few hours a day.

Brandon got to be home for 5 days before having to return to work. Can I say it was so nice to have him here. After 6 weeks and only one "home" day we needed the family time. He gets to be back for one day this week before he has to go to Portland but atleast its something.

Vacation, Easter, and Fish hatchery

We have done so much in the last few months that I am finally going to put the pictures up. We went to Mesquite and Vegas for spring break and I am still waiting to develop the pictures from Vegas but here are a few at the St. George temple. Then we went to Penny and Genes for Easter so I got a couple of cute pictures. Then this last week Kelton went to the fish hatchery in Glenwood for his last fieldtrip of the year. It was a blast and very good weather. It was cool learning how fast the fish grow and stuff. They had Rainbow and German brown trout there. So enjoy the pictures. I forgot i had a very cute one of Riley and kenzie. They are out of order from how I told you but thats what happens when you are not good at blogging.

We went down to Mandy and Chris' to celebrate Dyllan, Corbyn and Chayses birthday. It was so fun letting the kids play together while we got to visit. In the pictures Corbyn is wearing his shirt and has the orange bowl. Chayse has his shirt off. They were of course both so cute and getting so big

Dieting sucks

I know we have all been there and I have almost wanted to give up but everytime I work out I feel better about myself, I have more energy and my back does not hurt as much. Since starting at the first of the year I have lost zero pounds but some pairs of pants are fitting better and my thighs are not rubbing together as much. I have givin up soda all but once in a great will have a cup. Caffine is one thing I was suprised to not miss It kind of bites going out to dinner and the only options you have for drinks is water or lemonade which gets a little old. Flavored water has been my favorite to drink and keeps away the sugar needs. The kids are getting tired of drinking milk or water so I let them have soda on the weekends and they get to have kool-aid.

Other things thats going on; Brandon has been out since the 12th and we all can't wait for him to come home. He went all the way back to Warsaw Indiana, down to Arkansas and Missouri, and noe is sitting in Cal trying to come home but te trips that would've sent him home got canceled and the only loads that are out there will pay less than 1 dollar a mile which they so not accept so they end up paying him to sit down there for something else but after all is said and done the pay will be less than a dollar (yeah try explaining that to his bosses)

Kenzie is still doing good in school and we have found her a few books she likes to read so maybe next month she'll have her 20mins a day to turn in. Kelton oh what can I say he is learning so much and tries to keep up with everyone. He still has a few bad days where all he wants to do is resit his teacher and so he just sits with his head down. Kyle loves to play with my computer and have to take it with me when I leave so he doesn't ruin it. We got a dvd system for the car and of course he mastered that in one hour while I was in the chiropractor. I guess its good he knows how to run it so I don't have to do everything. Well I think thats all for this week. Hope you all have a good one.

Hi Guys. As everyone knows, I travel the nation. I keep thinking that since we have this blog, I thought I would start a top ten list. I thought about what I could do and for the first Big Red Top 10 List, I thought that I would start with Big Red's Top Ten Cities I've Been To:
10: Seattle, Washington
I know what your thinking Seattle should be higher on the list. But after spending a week there after a massive snow storm just before Christmas, it fell down. Seattle area is great and is the home of Starbucks, 2 sports teams and grunge music. One of my favorite drives in this area is going over Snoqualmie Pass on I-90.
9: Little Rock, Arkansas
Little Rock is great if you like hills, lots of trees and some of the gorgeous country that is around the mid south. The capital city is not a big thriving metro area ( if you want that Memphis is about 2 hours away) but if you want to go see some pretty country and go have a bite with Jed Clappett, Little Rock is for you
8: Savannah, Georgia
Southeastern Georgia is some great area and is an area that Aimee would like to live if it wasn't in a hurricane area. Trees and hills to the west and the Atlantic to the east makes Savannah number 8
7:Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Open country on lots of prairie is great. OKC is full of; well okies, but some really friendly people there. Lots of country singers such as Garth Brooks, Reba , and others have called this great place their home
6:Phoenix, Arizona
Believe it or not, the desert has some real beautiful sites. That and other things make Phoenix great. Ok, the heat can be unbearable, but the desert wildlife is great to see
5:Knoxville, Tennessee
The gateway to the Great Smokey Mountains sits along the banks of the Tennessee River makes it great place to visit. There are lots of things to do there that includes Dolly Parton's Dollywood Theme Park
4: Corning, California
If you like olives then Corning is for you. This small town that sits in a fertile valley surrounded by mountains makes it high up the list
3:Billings, Montana
Well I should say all of Montana. To the east lots of prairie and frontier land to the great mountains to the west makes Montana great place to visit
2: Columbus, Ohio
I like Ohio but can't stand Cleveland or Cincinnati. But the fast food capital in the country is a great place to visit. Columbus is one of my favorite places to go see and I will go out of my way just to go through there
1: Brantford, Ontario
The hometown of hockey great Wayne Gretzky is the best city that I have been to. Just off the main highway that connects Detroit and Toronto, Brantford is just the town to visit. Trust me this is an area that can't be missed

What are we doing

Well as you all should know by now we never do anything; its always the same old thing when you have no place to go besides into Richfield a few time a week. I have been reading some books that I personally like despite the fact that they have some really bad words in them. They are by Jodi Picoult and so far of her 14 books I have read 3; The pact, My Sisters Keeper and Nineteen minutes all amazing. So others I would recommend is the series called Uglies (Pretties, Specials and Extras) by Scott Westerfield. So hope you all are doing well.

Yes I am finally posting a blog; I can't wait til I can get my own computer. Well I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas we did. ( Even with all the traveling and lack of sleep) We finally got a new camera so I will sometime post the pictures. Brandon is going back out on the road in the morning after having sometime off which we all needed. Not much else going on around here just can't wait until school starts again the kids get bored easily and I hate sending them out to play in the cold since they get sick when they do. Maybe I will find something for them to do.

I know i am bad about posting a new blog that happens when you don't have a computer oh well heres whats been going on.

We moved over to Redmond and the kids started school which has been quite the adventure with Kelton; he had a really hard time focusing and wanting to learn he thought he could just run around and do what he wanted cause thats what he got away with in preschool. Well needless to say that stopped after he was sent to the office for being notty. Kenzie loves to see all her old friends and is making new ones while chasing around the boys. I think she is doing good and she loves going but has a hard time getting up in the morning. Kyle is quite the turkey he loves to read books and then looks over your shoulder while you are sending a text and reads that outloud I can't wait til he's in school.
I couldn't find my camera so when I get that found I will put pictures on mostly of the family reunion and lagoon so it'll be fun.

Such a crappy week

What a very sucky last few days; Friday I came home to try to get our lives back to normal and so there we stayed Saturday I was making a few dinners to sick in the fridge and Lilly came in the kitchen and started to lick up everything that was on the floor Broccoli and stuff but of course the worst thing for dogs was a few grapes. Well a few hours later she wasn't feeling good and just wanted to sleep so Sunday came and she was even worse so I tried to keep her near by as the day went by it was bad to the point she didn't want to drink or eat. So to bed we went. Monday I tried to find her and she was at the back of the couch not wanting to be touched. So I tried to get some water in her and we got the living room cleaned. I looked over at the big tv and thought I should see if it will start working and luckily it did so I took the little one back to my room and tried to find a wire for it to get a reception and instead I found a snake in my room YIKES. So after a very silly call to the sheriffs office and one hour later we finally got it out. On tuesday we got the kitchen cleaned and then I got the call; Grandma was not doing good and I needed to get up there as fast as I could so packed the kids clothes and headed up to Provo. I got to Center street in Provo and dad called to tell me that grandma had passed away. Heartbreak I was 5 minutes away and wasn't able to see her before she left this earth and tell her how much I love her and how much I appreciate how much she had done for me. So after being with the family at the hospital we came back to mom and dads to try to get settled down for the night. After getting only 4 hours of sleep I was up for the day at 5:22 am. Me mom kenzie sarah heather and garrett went up to get grandmas burial clothes and went out to lunch. When I got back dad said that we really need to get Lilly to the Vet and so we took her over and they thought it was parvo and so they wanted $500 deposit to start treatment and then another 300+ after everything was done and so I had to make the hard decision to put her down yes another death in our family it makes me want to crawl into a ball and cry but can't.

So that brings me to now I should tell you that we had a great 24th and didn't do very much. We had my moms birthday on the 25th and then Mine on the 27th Such a wonderful week.

The past week

Okay so after more than a week I thought I should get a update on whats going on. I finally got to go back home for a couple of days before coming back up to Salem for a day which has now turned into almost a
week cause I am so tired of needing to drive so much and that I would have to be up here this weekend to keep a eye on grandpa while my parents are gone for a few days. Needless to say that it sucks not having your own clothes and so thank goodness I had to buy new ones or else we would of all been in trouble. So off on a fun shopping trip we went. Thats all that went on this week. Oh best news ever Kyle is finally potty trained so no more diapers and its great. We got pictures of Garrett and Riley together they are so cute.

Sarah went up to the zoo the a couple of her friends and kenzie and got some pictures that were cute look at kenzies new hair cut she is so adorable. Her Favorite animal is the penguins and so thats what she rode on the carousel and she also got a shirt and a water bottle with them on. ( ya aunt sarah spoils her like no other) Tonight we will be at the fireworks and so I can get cute pictures of the kids and my nephews tomorrow we will get pics at jc. pennys in their 4th shirts It'll be fun trying to do that.

Decided to start a blog after everyone I know has a blog. Last week we bought a fun 12'x36'' and the kids love it Kelton has gone underwater a couple of times. Kyle still only holds on to the side or floats on a toy. Kenzie of course goes underwater, kicks around, splashes and does anything that she can in a pool. She also got her hair cut and is so dang cute; and getting bigger everyday.
